This project was a contemporary addition and renovation to update a formerly Mansard Neoeclectic style home in University Park. The clients frequently had issues with a leaking roof and they wanted to improve the curb appeal of the house as well as add a owner’s bedroom suite at the second floor, expand their kitchen and rework many other interior spaces. We developed a plan that largely reworked the house’s layout without changing the foundation. We converted the house to more of an open floor plan with a spacious new kitchen while raising the ceilings at the first floor from 8 feet to 9 feet. Second floor additions include an elegant and spacious master bedroom suite with balcony, large utility/laundry room and 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The additions have improved the exterior of their house, solved water issues and provided the family with a light and airy home. This project was built by Cutting Edge Renovations LLC.
